Barre Has No Age
Somehow, people working out in gyms turn me off physical fitness and create an aversion to exercise. A possibility to look look or project like them does not appeal to me.
On the contrary, people at the barre — the true, humble, quietly devoted ones — make me want to be like them on every step of the way: whether they teach me, or I teach them, or I stand next to them at the barre.
There’s nothing like grace of movement created by strength derived from mentality and and focus and consistency and humility.
Here’s Esther Fairfax, Lotte Berk’s daughter, a true inspiration and a proof that there’s no age or end to barre. She’s still teaching barre at the tenter age of 82.
You just have to keep doing it.
